The weather forecast is iffy for rain. The ride is ON rain or shine unless there is an imminent threat of severe weather. In that unlikely event I will post something by 7:00am. To say that we will be traveling on the back roads of Adams county is a bit redundant as All of the roads are back roads. We will make an extended stop at the Miller Bakery and Furniture store. Years ago this was only a small bakery selling home baked Amish pastries. Now it has grown in size a great deal and features a huge variety home baked goods. If you don't want to be seriously tempted, don't go in there. There is now a very large furniture store featuring Amish made furniture. There is also a bulk foods store featuring many different brands of Amish foods such as relishes, pastas, and other food items. This store also serves light lunches of soups and sandwiches. We will allow plenty of time to visit all of this. Amish cheese is also available here, so if you are interested you might want to bring a small cooler. | |
| Directions: From I-275 (exit 63)go East on SR32 for a short distance. Turn right on Gleneste-Withamsville Rd. (by White Castle), turn right on Clepper (second Street), park in Steak and Shake's lot near Sams (restrooms). | |
