| IMPORTANT NEWS! Due to rain on Saturday, the event has been changed to Sunday the 21st. Everything else is the same. This will be a 4.5 hour drive (142 miles) through some beautiful countryside with hills and curvy roads mostly with no guard rails. For this reason, since the weather is not good on the 20th, the event has been rescheduled to Sunday, the 21st.
Leaving Gold Star we will travel back roads for 1.25 hours to a bio break in Falmouth. From there more great back roads down to Mt. Olivet and on to Maysville for our last bio break after another 1.5 hours. From there we travel more scenic roads through Germantown and Brooksville before reaching O'Charley's in Alexandria for dinner sometime before 6:00pm where we have reservations already made. Dinner is optional - I will ask everyone at the Maysville bio break who is staying for dinner. | |
| Directions: I275 to KY9 South (AA Highway) - keep right and turn right on Town Drive at first traffic light. Gold Star Chili is temporarily closed so we have plenty of room to gather. There is a Thornton's to gas up on corner and Dairy Queen, Mellow Mushroom and Longnecks Grill if you want to have lunch. We need to be ready to leave at 12:30. | |
