Thursday February 16 February Monthly Planning Meeting
Our next monthly meeting will be at Full Throttle Indoor Karting on Thursday February 16 at 7:30 PM in the Party Room (where we met for the Holiday Party). At this meeting we will accept club director nominations and vote directors in at the end of the meeting. Also, just in case you were wondering, we do not plan on having all of our meetings at Full Throttle Indoor Karting, but we sure do appreciate the great venue club member Joe O'Gorman has provided us!

Sunday March 25 6th Annual Leprechaun Run
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a great rally put on by Greg Bodenburg. All proceeds ($25 per car) go to The League for Animal Welfare. The rally ends at Molly Malone's Irish Pub in Covington.
Saturday March 31 Kings Mazda Spring Tune-Up Event / 2012 Spring Kick Off Meeting
Once again this year, Kings Mazda will host our annual Spring Tune-Up Event. Refreshments (including donuts, bagels, coffee and juice), free full car inspections and free oil changes will be completed by Kings Mazda's service technicians. If it is discovered your car is in need of service that will require a scheduled appointment, all service work is 20% off to club members! Any accessory/ aftermarket work you wish to have installed is 10% off. All parts are 18% off for club members year round! A club meeting to kick off the new driving season will also follow the inspections around noon, with complimentary pizza and soft drinks for lunch provided by the club. Club board members and officers will also be introduced.

Sunday April 29 Sharonville Classic Car Show
Marking its 35th anniversary, the 2012 Sharonville Classic Car Show will be held on the streets of downtown Sharonville (Reading Rd). This is the longest running car show in the region. These are not the cars you will see in early June at the Concours d'Elegance, but the cars you remember from when you were young because your grandfather, dad, uncle or the neighbor next door had one. Where else can you see 500+ examples of pure Americana! Detroit iron at its finest, and best of all admission is free!

Tuesday May 15 - 20 Mecum's 25th Original Spring Classic Auto Auction - Indianapolis
Every year Mecum Auto Auctions holds a six day classic car auction event held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This year the club is planning a trip to check out this event and see first hand some classic cars get sold on the auction block. Exact meeting place and time to drive over is to be determined. Most likely trip date is Friday, May 18 and/or Saturday, May 19.
Friday May 18 - 20 Greater Cincinnati Miata Club at the Gap
Jon Roberto and John Haas are planning and will be leading our club's Deals Gap Trip for this May. This will be the same weekend as the Z Cars annual trek to the Gap. This is a great trip with great roads. Details to follow.
Thursday May 31 - June 3 Zoomin' the Mountains of East Tn 6
This was a blast last year. Driving your car on the track at Bristol is not to be missed!!! Laps on the fastest half mile in NASCAR This is a great event-you sign up for activities ala carte and pay accordingly. Details are on the website www.tri-citiesmiataclub.com/news.html. Let's get a group together and go.

Friday June 8 - 10 Mid-Ohio EMCO Gears Classic
The first big car racing weekend at Mid-Ohio Race Course is the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. This is a great opportunity to see racing up close!
Sunday June 10 Ault Park Concours d'Elegance
A day in the park with friends and cars. We have a special parking space across from the main entrance making room for 15-20 Miatas. This will be our eleventh year.
Thursday June 21 June Club Meeting
This will be at the home of Tim and Bobbi Ross. Please bring something to grill and we will have a big picnic! Hope to see everyone there!
Friday June 22 - 24 Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio
This year's Sportscar Vintage Racing Association's Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio's featured marques is British Invasion. Yes all of you roadster fanatics that loved your British roadsters but couldn't stand the oil leaks, electrical problems and mechanical breakdowns, can relive the past and at the same time love there Miatas for not having any of those problems!

Wednesday August 1 Winery Drive
PLEASE NOTE THE AUGUST DATE IS TBD! Once again, Rose will be leading a winery/restaurant destination drive. These are always very popular because the roads are great and the food and spirits shared with Miata Club friends is awesome. Stay tuned for details.
Friday August 3 - 5 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge & Honda Indy 200
Yes your read that correct - two major events on one weekend! In the Sports Car Challenge, American LeMans Series will be racing, and in this series are the MIATAS! Not to be missed! On Sunday will be the Izod Indy Car Series race of the Honda 200 at Mid-Ohio. Come for one day or both as there will be plenty of good racing action!

Friday September 7 - 9 Mid-Ohio NASA Championships
Presented by Toyo Tires, the National Auto Sports Association's national championships will be held over the weekend. The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) was formed in 1991 to deliver high quality motorsports events to enthusiasts at major racing venues throughout the nation. This is a great opportunity to see some of the country's finest racers in action!
