Brookville, IN drive

Date: Saturday October 15
Time: 10:30
Agenda

Meet at the Colerain Ave Lowes, just north of I-275
10235 Colerain Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45251

I will give a very short talk explaining how we will in no way be breaking any speed limits, even though Franklin County Indiana local officers are not provided with radar. Only the 2 state troopers assigned to the county have radar, and it's a large county.

I will have a complete mile by mile turn guide printed out for everyone.

We will take I-275 to the Brookville exit just across the border to Indiana

From there the driving starts. We will cruise up highway 46 to highway 1. After about 15 minutes on the highways, the fun starts. We will take River Road, a twisty narrow road on the other side of the river from highway 52, which is the normal route. I'm not normal.

At the end of River Road, we will head up Wolf Creek Road to the wolf habitat.

Wolf Creek Habitat is basically setup on a guys farm land. He takes in wolves from idiots who thought owning a wolf would be cool, until they realize they have a full grown wolf in their home. It's free to visit, and $50 each to go in the pens with the wolves.

After that we'll take a break in Brookville for lunch. I recommend the Dairy Cottage, Pizza Pete's, or Ye Olde Shak. Other choices are Arby's, McDonald's, Subway.

A map to all will be provided.

After lunch feel free to go for a walk on the damn, check out the spillway (which can be spectacular, depending on how much water the are letting out, or go up to the overlook.

I'm thinking an hour for lunch should work, then we head back by a different route.

45 minutes to the wolf habitat
30 minute there
15 minutes to Main St Brookville
60 minutes lunch
50 minutes drive back
